Polakovica and Supava Tunnel Breakthrough Project on Pelješac

The Polakovica and Supava tunnels are part of the eight-kilometer-long Ston bypass.

After ten months of work, the excavation of the 1,242-meter-long Polakovica tunnel has been completed, and the full-profile bench excavation is now underway. The tunnel is located on the route of the Ston bypass, an access road to the Pelješac Bridge. Exiting the tunnel leads onto the 485-meter-long "Ston" bridge spanning the Ston Channel, and at the other end of the bridge, the route enters the 1,290-meter-long "Supava" tunnel, which is currently halfway excavated and is being drilled from both sides (entrance/exit).
