3. Third-party online tracking

You can use our website without registering and/or logging in, during which the following tools may be used:

Cookies

In order to improve your browsing experience on this website, we must store a small amount of information (cookies) on your computer. Over 90% of all websites use this practice, but under European Union regulations as of March 25, 2011, we are required to obtain your consent before storing cookies. By using our website, you agree to the use of cookies. If you block cookies, you can still browse the site, but some of its features will not be available to you.

What is a cookie? A cookie is information stored on your computer by a website you visit. Cookies usually store your settings and website preferences, such as your preferred language. Later, when you open the same website again, the internet browser sends back the cookies belonging to that page. This allows the website to display information tailored to your needs.

The default activities of storing and sending cookies are not visible to you. However, you can change your internet browser settings so that you can choose whether to approve or reject requests to store cookies, automatically delete stored cookies when closing your browser, and similar.

Google AdWords
This tool can be used to store website visits for advertising purposes (remarketing) on Google and the Display Network. Your browser stores cookies when you visit the website, which make it possible to recognize you as a visitor when you load websites belonging to the Google network. On these pages, you are presented with ads related to content you have previously viewed on other websites that use the Google remarketing options. You can opt out of data collection through Google AdWords at http://www.google.com/settings/ads.

Google AdWords conversion tracking
This makes it possible to create conversion statistics that measure the effectiveness of our online advertising campaigns. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. According to Google's privacy policy, no personal data is processed. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can opt out of data use for this purpose by disabling the Google conversion tracking cookie through your web browser's cookie settings.

Please note that current web browsers accept "cookies" by default. You can adjust your browser settings to block all or only certain cookies, or to prompt you for approval before accepting a new cookie. Instructions on how to manage cookies can be found in most browsers under the "Help" option in the menu. These instructions will also show you how to delete cookies that have already been accepted.

4. Conversion tracking using the Facebook

Within our online presence, we use the Facebook "visitor action pixel" from Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). This is a "cookie"—a small text file stored on your computer that can be read from your device. It allows user activity to be tracked after users have seen or clicked on a Facebook advertisement. This makes it possible to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected in this manner is anonymous to us, meaning it cannot be linked to the user's identity. However, this data is stored and processed by Facebook, allowing it to be linked to the respective user profile, and Facebook may use this data for its own promotional purposes in accordance with the Facebook Data Policy (http://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). You can enable Facebook and its partners to display ads both on and off Facebook. For this purpose, a cookie will be stored on your computer. For more information, please refer to the privacy policy of the aforementioned social network.

5. Sharing

Our website integrates sharing buttons for the social networks Facebook (1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA) and Instagram (San Francisco, California, USA). Additionally, an email sharing button may also be integrated. You can recognize these sharing buttons by their respective logos.

Only when you click on the respective "sharing button" on our website (and only then) is a direct connection established between your browser and the server of the respective social network operator. According to the operators of these social networks, no personal data is collected by them unless you click on the sharing button. These data, including the IP address, are only collected and processed for users who are logged into the respective social networks. If you do not want your visit to our website to be linked to your social media account, please log out of your account on the respective social network.

We would like to emphasize that KARABIT d.o.o. has no insight into the content of the transmitted data or its use by social networks. You can find more information regarding data usage by social networks in the respective privacy policies of those platforms.
